With the growth of soccer across North America, and our agency's deep relations across gaming and soccer, the opportunity to bring both world's together was more prevalent than ever.
After in-depth discussions Spotify, a brand that also shares its passion for gaming and soccer, the Creator Kickoff was born. A unique groundbreaking event, featuring 13 creators competing in an IRL Futsal Tournament.

Turning The Vision Into Reality
We worked to identify the core pillars that warrant an incredible event and while simultaneously driving value for Spotify in a key moment within their marketing calendar.
In order to bring this vision into a reality for Spotify, we began by identifying a diverse pool of talent that hit various communities to optimize reach and traction across all programming beats. Once our talent were identified, our team built and deployed a comprehensive social calendar to support the campaign with the goal of driving broadcast viewership and overall engagement for Spotify.
SPORTFIVE and BUILD A ROCKET, SPORTFIVE's Gaming Activation arm, was responsible for all creative development, live event production, broadcast production, talent procurement and management for this project.
Working collaboratively with Spotify, we fully produced a broadcasted event that built brand love and product awareness amongst the gaming community.
The Star Power
Spotify aligned with some of the biggest names in gaming, heightening its brand affinity amongst young, digital audiences through this ownable moment.
With a diverse talent mix, various communities enjoyed seeing their favorite creators outside of their traditional environments which generated added value for Spotify via user-generated content; In addition to organic posts from each creator spotlighting their favorite moments from the match - accruing a stellar total of 84 social posts.
The Final Scoreboard
Across all channels of execution, the Creator Kickoff event drove stellar viewership, engagement, and positive audience sentiment. The main broadcast peaked at over 7,000 concurrent viewers with 24,000+ uniques. In addition, the event drove +3M impressions across the social content slate, with custom content from all featured creators.
By showcasing behind-the-scenes content, all 13 creators generated excitement amongst their audiences and drove tune-in by sharing a direct link to the broadcast ahead of the match kick-off!
